This award is intended to acknowledge someone who has been impactful in several aspects of our community. The recipient of this award can be someone who has already received a Women’s Recognition Day award.
The Mission Award is presented to a woman who works diligently to impact our community in a way that supports the YWCA’s mission to eliminate racism and empower women.
The Community Service Award recognizes women who are professionals and/or volunteers in government, public service, politics and/or community action.
Includes women who are constantly looking for ways to improve themselves and contribute more to their organization/company. They listen, take feedback seriously and are open minded when presented with new ideas.
Includes women in the business and non-profit sectors who make a significant contribution in their field.
Includes women in the fields of medicine, law, education, science, engineering, architecture or other fields which require professional accreditation in order to perform work in that field.
Includes women who make a significant contribution in the field of arts in our community. This could be through their artistic talent or through teaching and influencing others in their artistic abilities.
Includes women who are in the sports field, whether a volunteer or paid position. This award is given to a woman who has provided exceptional leadership, mentorship and sportsmanship in this field and has impacted our community positively.
