Y Reserves

The Y Reserves is an auxiliary organization for the YWCA Pekin. This group currently is over 70 members strong, all members of the YWCA, who volunteer their time raising money and acting as ambassadors to the community for the YWCA Pekin. We assist with events such as the United Way campaign tour luncheon, the snack pack program, and staff Christmas luncheons. We fund purchases such as computers and pool equipment, contribute money to building improvements, and help subsidize programs such as Women in Leadership seminars. We also have a lot of fun with our quarterly luncheons featuring great food and interesting programs.

In February of each year, the Y Reserves host a "Hearts Are Trump" card party. It is open to the public and held at YWCA Pekin. A wide variety of games are played, with refreshments and a silent auction offered. 

 

Dues for the Y Reserves are just $10 annually, and we welcome anyone who would like to help the YWCA Pekin. Contact membership chairperson Claudie Huey, (309) 346-9321, if you would like to join us.
