In 1959, the YWCA of Pekin relocated to 315 Buena Vista Ave. Moving from a home into a structure built for us, allowed us to include a warm water therapy pool in our facility. This pool is an important staple in our community, both past and present. The pool in our facility allowed Pekin Community High School to enhance their curriculum and offer swimming as one of their physical education classes.

Many of our community members have fond memories of learning to swim at our facility. While many others give testament of our pool allowing them to maintain their  independence due to the therapeutic qualities of warm water.

Our staff works diligently to maintain our pool to be sure that it can serve generations to come in our community.
